The Lamthabung Area Voluntary Association (LAVA) and the Social Youth Development Organisation Phougakchao Ikhri (SYDOP) has strongly condemned Mark Thangmang Haokip for trying to create communal conflict amongst ethnic communities of the state by spreading derogatory and defamatory speech on social media.

The LAVA said in a release issued on Sunday, it is clearly proven that Mark Thangmang Haokip plays a crucial role in attacking many historic religious sites of Manipur. The ploy and action shown by some newly migrated people had also suppressed the steps of Kuki and Thadou, who strongly believed in unity, integrity and peaceful co-existence, it stated.

It further said that the state government not controlling the present situation may lead to many untoward incidents in future. This will directly affect the pace of development of the state. As such the authorities concerned should not remain silent but undergo proper investigation regarding any instances that may disturb peaceful co-existence of the state, the LAVA said.

LAVA also strongly condemned the report about the attempt to murder Chief Minister N Biren Singh. It is very unfortunate that such strong comments are made against the leader of the state who is putting up all efforts to bring unity and integrity, eradicate drug issues, etc. in the state, it stated.

The Social Youth Development Organisation Phougakchao Ikhri (SYDOP) also strongly condemned Mark Thangmang Haokip, alleging that the Myanmar-origin is trying to disrupt unity and integrity of state.
