Assam Rifles organises community service

Locals of Ngarumphung village were educated on various measures to fight against the COVID-19 pandemic.

Assam Rifles organised community service with an aim to interact with the local populace as well as to sensitise them in regards to existing scenario of COVID -19 in the area.

A release by PRO IGAR (South) has said that the service cum interaction was organised at Ngarumphung Baptist Church of Ngarumphung village. The interaction was aimed to familiarise with each others customs and traditions ,the event commenced with offering of prayers followed by an interaction with the villagers during which the locals willingly shared their various issues of concern with the troops.

In addition to the interaction, the locals were also educated on various measures to fight against COVID-19 pandemic during the event, the release said.
