Assam Rifles, health department organise medical camp in Chandel

As a part of the Block Health Mela at Komlathabi, Chandel district, the Modi battalion of Assam Rifles (AR) under the aegis of IGAR (South), in collaboration with the Health Department, on Tuesday organised a medical camp. 

The medical camp was conducted by AR to synergise and augment the Health Mela which was organised by District Health Society, Chandel District to provide free medical check-up and treatment to the residents of nearby villages in and around Chandel district, IGAR said in a release.

It stated that the medical camp encompassed a massive array of services to include free health check-up, essential medicines, vaccinations, issue of Ayushman Bharat cards, referral services, minor surgeries, lab services, tele-consultation, food safety, family planning among others.

The health check-up was carried out by medical Specialists from AR and Health Department, Chandel district, it said, adding a total of 260 locals benefited from the medical camp.
