The Manipur government on Wednesday issued an order posting N Ashok Kumar as the new Commissioner cum Secretary of Home in an order issued for the transfer and posting of three IAS officers with immediate effect and until further orders in public interest.
N Ashok Kumar had recently returned from Central deputation and before deputation he was secretary to the chief minister. He will also hold the post of OSD Manipur Bhavan, New Delhi.
Earlier, the Home department was divided into two and held by two IAS officers.
As per the latest order issued by Joint Secretary (DP), Government of Manipur, Ph Bhavananda Sharma in the name of the Governor, H Gyan Prakash, presently posted as Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Hr & Tech Edn/ SCERT/ Edn-S/ Adult Edn/ Home-I) has now been posted as Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Hr & Tech Edn/ SCERT/ Edn-S/ Adult Edn).
The order also said that Devesh Deval, who is the Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Tourism/ Home-II) & Commissioner (DE) & Resident Commissioner, Manipur Bhawan, New Delhi in addition has now been posted as Commissioner-cum-Secretary (Tourism) & Commissioner (DE) & Resident Commissioner, Manipur Bhawan, New Delhi in addition.
