AR organise security meet in Kangpokpi

The roles of villagers and authorities in the improvement and advancement of society as a whole were discussed during the meet.

The Noney Battalion of Assam Rifles, under the aegis of Headquarters 22 Sector Assam Rifles and IGAR (E), organised a security meet at Veitumkhullen adjacent to COB Kotlen in Kangpokpi district on Wednesday. 

The meeting was attended by village chiefs, village authorities, presidents of Youth Clubs, officers in Charge of camps of Central Armed Police Forces deployed in the area, head representatives of Construction Companies, Civil Society Organisations, representatives of Kuki Inpi, and other active Student Organisations.

Strengthening the bonds between different security forces deployed in the area, developing a sense of safety and security among local villagers through direct dialogue, discussing security issues, and understanding basic demands, concerns, and requirements of the common people of the area through their representatives were the main objectives of the meet. 

The roles of villagers and authorities in the improvement and advancement of society as a whole were discussed during the meet.

Representatives of CSOs were also given the opportunity to establish dialogue with attendees in order to assist in sustainable development. The security meet was directly focused on the welfare of locals and to enhance security measures. Meeting concluded with the slogan ‘Together We Can and We Will’.
