Assam Rifles on Sunday flagged off an educational workshop tour to IISER Kolkata aimed at empowering Internally Displaced Children from various communities in Manipur.

The Air India Flight IX587 carrying the students was ceremoniously flagged off by esteemed dignitaries from Imphal International Airport, stated a release.

Inspector General AR(E), Major General Suresh Kumar Bhambhu, SM, recently engaged and inspired 20 selected students at Bala Vidhya Mandir, Imphal on Wednesday, and shared insights to ignite the young minds about the educational and social benefits of the tour, it stated.

Assam Rifles, through collaboration with IISER Kolkata, not only aimed to enhance educational outcomes but also to instil hope and aspiration among the youth affected by the conflict in the state, it mentioned.

It also underscores their commitment to fostering sustainable pathways for peaceful community development through education and empowerment, it added.
