Anganwadi workers of border town Moreh on Saturday organised a rally in connection with the launch of Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2022 under the Poshan Abhiyaan scheme.
The Anganwadi workers and helpers had organised the rally in participation of the Rashtriya Poshan Maah, 2022 which was launched by the Integrated Child Development Scheme (ICDS) Project Tengnoupal, in order to spread awareness on various schemes under Rashtriya Poshan Maah, 2022.
The rally was flagged off by Child Development Project Officer (CDPO) Tengnoupal Sinam Tampha Devi from the Primary Health Centre (PHC) Moreh and concluded at the Moreh town bazaar.
On the occasion, Sinam Tampha informed that since its inception, the Rashtriya Poshan Maah had been observed for only a week, but from the present year onward the programme will be observed for one whole month every year.
During the programme which will be held for the entirety of September, various health and nutrition awareness programmes will be organised, she added. She also mentioned that the honorarium for the first born baby scheme will also be initiated at PHC Moreh.
Tengnouapl DC Mannuamching had also launched the Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2022 at the district headquarter on September 1. The launching programme was attended by the government officials, staff, ICDS cells along with the Anganwadi workers.
