AMKIL observes 29th foundation day

The occasion was marked with most of the speaker speaking about unity and living in peace and harmony.

The Apunba Manipur Kanba Ima Lup (AMKIL) on Thursday celebrated its 22nd Foundation Day at the Meitei Society Hall, Khuga Tampak, Churachandpur.

It was attended by president of AMKIL, Lourembam Nganbi; president of Nupi Samaj, Thokchom Ramani; president of Ima Leimarel Apunba Lup, Angan Nayani Leima; vice president of UCM, YK Dhiren; president of Meitei Society, Churachandpur, M Thoiba; president of Meetei Youth Organisation and other leaders from the Meetei community.

The occasion was marked with most of the speaker speaking about unity and living in peace and harmony where the advisor of AMKIL, Khangembam Adandani, said that “we have a tendency to talk as hills and valley but that will not help as we must protect our land, culture and tradition from foreign force since we own the land and we are one as people of Manipur who had a long history that bind us together”.

Khangembam Adandani also spoke about the introduction of Railways in Manipur and that, without unity, it will be disastrous for the people of Manipur if they have a tendency of division as hills and valleys.
