Ukhrul Autonomous District Council (UADC) caretaker chairman Dr Yaronsho Ngalung on Saturday officially launched and handed over one basic life support system ambulance each to Ukhrul and Kamjong district hospital for use during COVID-19 pandemic.

The much needed addition of ambulances came as a big relief for the two government hospitals which have been facing acute shortages of life support as they manage the whole affairs with single digit ambulances amid the health crisis. Now, they would operate with two ambulances each with the new additions.

Associate pastor UBC Ukhrul reverend Luther Chamroy blessed the launching event.
