The Anāl Lenruwl Tangpi - General Headquarters (ALT GHQ), in collaboration with Anal Naga Medicos Association held its 2nd Phase of Free Medical Camp at Larong/Ralruwng village for Sulam Area on Saturday.
The first phase of the camp was held in the Green Hills Area on October 12.
During the camp, six doctors along with three nurses from PHC, Sulam Area attended to over 100 individuals who came to avail the free medical camp and medicines.
Chiefs from the area villages, namely Duthang, Libung, Larong, Vomku and Darchol also attended the camp and had high praises for the ALT GHQ and the Anal Medicos team.
The free medical camp was organised as part of the ALT GHQ and Anal Naga Medicos Association’s aim to reach out to the far flung Anal Naga villages in the hills that do not have easy access to medical and health facilities. While this was the second phase of the camp, the first phase was held on October 12, 2024 in the Green Hills Area.
Bd Ningwar, president of ALT GHQ said that the camp was vital and of utmost importance especially in these times when people on far flung areas do not have easy access to medicines and medical facilities. Moreover, these are times when malaria, dengue and other sicknesses are on the rise, and hence, it was important that we reach out to them, Ningwar said.
Dr Bd Ngamningwar, president of Anal Naga Medicos Association said it gives them immense joy to reach out to the people in the far flung areas and provide them with medical facilities. He said it is vital that people have access to medical facilities but that people is Sulam and Green Hills Areas are far from district headquarters, thus finding it difficult to have access to medical facilities.
