The Special Judge, Imphal West on Friday remanded another person in 15 days of judicial custody till November 25 for allegedly conspiring with Mark Thangmang Haokip for separate Kukiland.
On Sunday, November 6, police had arrested B Demmounmang Vaiphei @Mang, about 25 years of age, son of B Athang Vaiphei of Silen, Bongphajol, Loktak Project, Churachandpur district and produced him before the JMIC, Imphal West and remanded him into six days police custody.
The IO of the case produced him before the Special Judge, Imphal West with prayer for 15 days judicial custody till November 25.

On preliminary interrogation, Mang disclosed that he criminally conspired along with co-accused Mark T Haokip and supported and propagated the idea of separate Kukiland. Police submitted that he is a hardcore follower of Mark Thangmang Haokip and an important member of his organisation namely "The People Democratic Republic of Kukiland".
Moreover, it is also learnt that their group is nothing but a gang waging war against the country and organisation with the sole objective of secession from the Indian state to establish their so-called "one sovereign Kukiland".
Accused counsel filed a remand objection. However, the court, after hearing submissions from special public prosecution and counsel of the accused, remanded Mang to judicial custody for smooth and proper investigation.
