The All Manipur Mid-Day Meal Workers’ Union has decried the alleged attempt by the workers of few MLAs to dismiss mid-day meal cooks and helpers for not casting votes in their favour in recently concluded 12th Manipur Assembly polls.

The union, in a statement, expressed dismay that such a threat is a gross violation of the rights of mid-day meal workers and the students, who are being given cooked nutritious meals by the workers.
