The All Jiribam United Club’s Association (AJUCA) on Sunday observed its Silver Jubilee at the auditorium of Jiribam Municipal Council at Babupara in Jiribam district in the presence of leaders of CSOs and students’ organisation of Jiribam.
The 25th foundation day was commenced with a two-minute silence in honour of late members and patrons of AJUCA, followed by release of AJUCA souvenir by AJUCA chairperson Kh Janaki Devi.
The event was attended by AJUCA founder president K Khumanjao Meitei; president M Maipaksana Mangang; chairperson Kh Janaki Devi; founder general secretary L Veerjit Singh; Rongmei Naga Council Manipur advisor Tahemang Panmei; Progressive Meitei Pangal Society chairman F Ahmad as the chief guest, president, special chief guest and guests of honour.
Speaking on the occasion, chief guest K Khumanjao Meitei extended well wishes for the silver jubilee celebration. Recalling various roles taken by AJUCA during state related issues, he assured that the association will continue to do so. Denying the motto of AJUCA is breaking the integrity of AJUCA said president of the occasion M Maipaksana Mangang.
As part of the programme, AJUCA distributed presents to local club leaders, meira-paibis and CSOs, students’ organisations.
