Manipuri Literary and Cultural Forum, Tripura honoured Rakesh Naorem with ‘Best Social Activist and Philanthropist Award 2024’ on Sunday, during an event held at Sahitya Akademi Hall, Najarul Najarul Kalakshetra Complex, Agartala in Tripura.
Former HOD of Manipuri Department, Manipuri University, Usuksana handed over the award to Rakesh Naorem.
Advisor of Manipuri Literary and Cultural Forum, Tripura Rk Tarunjit, assistant professor of NIT, Agartala, Anuradha Moirangthem and president of Manipuri Sahitya Parishad, Tripura, Langoljam Birmangol, among others attended the event.
It may be mentioned that, Rajesh Naorem, hailing from Tentha Khongbal in Thoubal district had received various state, international and national awards. He is currently serving as a secretary of Patriotic Writers Forum (PAWF) Manipur and IPAK Films Production Manipur.
As part of his ‘Eegi Khongul Liba’ journey in Tripura, Manipur, Assam, and Meghalaya, Rakesh is currently staying in Tripura.
