ABVP Manipur celebrates India's 75th Independence Day

The students' organisation celebrated India's 75th Independence Day at 20 locations on Sunday.

The Akhil Bharatiya Vidyarthi Parishad (ABVP) Manipur on Sunday joined the rest of the country in celebrating India's 75th Independence Day.

RK Rabichandra Singh, state secretary, ABVP Manipur stated in a release that the students' organisation celebrated the 75th Independence Day at 20 locations, including ABVP Manipur State Office, Wangkhei; MU Gate, Canchipur; NIELIT, Akampat; Khurai Lamlong, Imphal East; Andro, Imphal East; Lairensajik, Imphal West; Kanglatongbi, Imphal West; Langthabal, Canchipur; Goma Devi Govt High School, Toribari; Kalapahar Bazar, Kangpokpi; Charhajare Community Hall, Kangpokpi; INA Memorial Complex, Moirang; Kumbi Keithel, Kumbi; Oinam High School, Oinam; Ningthoukhong Bazar, Ningthoukhong; Kalinagar, §iribam; Heirok, Thoubal; Khangabok Higher Secondary School, Thoubal; Wangjing, Thoubal; and Khongjom, Thoubal.

The state secretary stated that the students' organisation hoisted the National Flag and sung the National Anthem at each location. Prominent members of the particular locality delivered speeches during the celebration, the state secretary stated.

ABVP Manipur independence day

The "Ek Goan Ek Tiranga" campaign of ABVP, the world's largest students' organisation with 33.32 lakh members, will set the tone for this year-long celebration of the 75th year of Independence, the state secretary stated, adding that the campaign will include various programs including collecting information about the unsung heroes of the Independent movement.
