The district implementing unit in collaboration with Rogi Kalyan Samity district hospital Tamenglong on Monday celebrated the 6-year-anniversary of AB- PMJAY Ayushman Pakhwada at district hospital Duigailong Tamenglong.
Tamenglong Deputy Commissioner L Angshim Dangshawa, 6th Assam Rifles Commandant colonel Aman Ahluwalia SM and chief medical officer Dr G Majachunglu attended as chief guest, guest of honour and president of the function respectively.
On the occasion, deputy commissioner L Angshim Dangshawa said public feedback is needed at the hour as availing the AB- PMJAY facility is very less compared to enrolment.
He said Tamenglong district has as many as 30,022 beneficiaries enrolled under AB PMJAY while only 6214 beneficiaries are availing the facility.
“Under this scheme every beneficiary will get free of cost treatment. The scheme covers Rs five lakh”, he said.
He urged the citizens of Tamenglong to visit the SDO office to check the entitlement beneficiary in the 2011 economic census. If you are poor and your name is missing, the citizen can enroll in Chief Minister Hangshelgee Tangbang CMHT. The amount is the same, he added.
The deputy commissioner also felicitated the staff of AB PMJAY and CMHT dealing staff.
In the meantime, in his keynote address, AB- PMJAY Ayushman Pakhwada district programme coordinator pouninglung Gonmei informed that there are 68 hospitals empanelled with PMJAY and CMHT in the state of Manipur and 4 hospitals are also Empanelled with CMHT outside Manipur.
He informed that as many as 30,022 beneficiaries have been enrolled under AB-PMJAY, of which 6214 beneficiaries have been treated under AB-PMJAY and Out of which 2963 beneficiaries are treated in District Hospital Tamenglong.
He further informed that as many as 2468 beneficiaries have been enrolled under CMHT out of which 4423 beneficiaries have been migrated from CMHT to PMJAY health scheme so far.
He said 3272 beneficiaries have been treated under CMHT out of which 1813 beneficiaries are treated in Tamenglong District Hospital.
As part of the celebration OPD health checks were made totally free of cost for the day.
