As a stir against the pro-capitalism of the Modi-led BJP government, the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) Manipur unit on Thursday launched a poster campaign "Remove Modi, Save Country".

Launching the campaign at the party office at Moirangkhom in Imphal, party activity coordinator Shagolsem Bamkimchandra said it is unfortunate that the present BJP government had abolished the hope of the freedom fighters in India independence who had dreamt of a new India with development is all aspects.

On the contrary, the Modi government is still unable to solve the issue of unemployment for the past seven years, is unable to provide minimal selling price to the farmers and is becoming more of a pro-corporate government, he said, citing the infamous Hindenburg’s Adani Scam.

Meanwhile, the freedom of speech and expression has been suppressed by intimidating those who raised their voice and protest against the government policy, he added.

The activity coordinator reaffirmed the stand of the party in the fight to bring back the same status that was given by the freedom fighters after victory against the fight for India independence.
