The Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) has condemned the killing of three persons in their residence, terming it a cowardly act.
Speaking to the media at the Manipur Press Club on Saturday, AAP Manipur State Activity coordinator Bishwanath Thingnam said that the turmoil in Manipur has been continuing since May 3 but the Centre is silent and it does not care about Manipur.
The state is in the process of finding a way towards peace. However, the cowardly act and killing of the three persons shows the Kukis do not want peace, he said. If it continues like this, then the conflict may change direction into a more serious act, he said.
He also questioned what is there behind the scene of turning a government land into a cemetery, further questioning if those bodies are of outsiders. And why is the Prime Minister not discussing the Manipur issue, he further questioned.
He then appealed to other communities not to comment on anything that may be taken as one-sided.
