A 64-year-old male died in a road accident on Saturday around 8.30 am after one Tata Water Tanker hit him.

As per reports, the water tanker bearing registration number MNO3T 0921 coming from Iroisemba side ran over one pedestrian who was crossing the Uripok Kangchup Road near Sakhi Devi School, Uripok Yambem Leikai.
The deceased is identified as RK Brojen Singh, son of (L) Gopendro Singh of Uripok Yambem Leikai. He succumbed to his injuries on the spot.

The involved vehicle has been seized and the driver was also arrested. A case has been registered for further necessary investigation.
