As many as 62 company of security forces comprising CISF, CRPF and CAPF will be deployed in Imphal West district, Manipur and called on media persons to conduct smooth election and to coordinate with state police forces for the same, District Magistrate, Imphal West, Th Kirankumar said on Friday.
Speaking to mediapersons at court room of Imphal West DC complex on Friday, Kirankumar said Central Armed Police Force (CAPF); Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) and Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) will be supporting for a smooth election, while CRPF will coordinate for the coming election.
Commanding officer, 86 battalion CRPF, Md Yusuf said that at present there is no issue regarding the security lapses. However, there are some issues but will be solved by coordinating with superintendent of police, Imphal West, the CO said.
Superintendent of police, Imphal West, Ksh Shivakanta said that in order to conduct the election smoothly the district police has been continuing with the collection of license arms and till Friday 76.95 per cent have been deposited. He said there is no deadline for deposition of license arms but that efforts have been continued to collect the arms.

Shivakanta said the 62 company, which will be deployed in Imphal West district, will be assisted by around 3,800 district police, including women police.
