45-day long drama workshop kicks off

Eminent resource persons will educate the participants about the origin of drama and its relevance with culture towards the society during the workshop.

A 45-day-long-acting training course cum drama workshop kicked off on Thursday at Naran Enat Pukkei Cultural Hall, Thoubal Wangmataba.

Eminent resource persons will educate the participants about the origin of drama and its relevance with culture towards the society during the workshop organised by the Academy of performing arts (APA)Thoubal, Manipur under the Ministry of Culture, Government of India.

Renowned writer and actor Deben Chenglei Sarang Leisangthem and Akoijam Priyokumar, associate member, Indian Solidarity Council New Delhi attended the inaugural event as president and guest of honour.

At least 20 students are participating at the workshop which will be concluded on February 18.

It may be mentioned here that APA had already produced and staged a drama titled "Taibang Mee" (Human Species) on December 23, 2022 at its hall successfully. 

APA works arduously in the field of arts and culture to promote cultural dance and dramas. Workshops are being organised frequently in the aim to produce talented artists.
