Union Home Minister Amit Shah will chair a hih-level meeting of the chief ministers and director generals of all states in Northeast India to review drug-related issues in the region in Guwahati Saturday. About 40,000 kg of seized drugs will be destroyed in Northeast after the meeting, he said.
“Reiterating PM @narendramodi Ji’s resolve of a Drug Free India, today will chair a meeting with the CMs & DGs of all North-eastern states to review issues related to drug trafficking. About 40,000 kgs of seized drugs will be destroyed in Northeast after the meeting,” Shah tweeted.
The home minister along with BJP national president JP Nadda arrived in Guwahati late Friday to attend several programmes in the Northeastern state Assam.
The two leaders will inaugurate the state BJP headquarters along with BJP national president JP Nadda. Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, Union Minister Sarbananda Sonowal and state party leaders will also be present at the occasion, among others.
