38,127 students set to appear HSLC Exam 2023 in Manipur

The HSLC Examination, 2023 to be conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) from March 16 in 158 centres across the state.

A total of 38,127 students are set to appear in the High School Leaving Certificate (HSLC) Examination, 2023 to be conducted by the Board of Secondary Education Manipur (BOSEM) from March 16 in 158 centres across the state.

According to BOSEM, 38,127 students will be appearing in the Class 10 board examinations 2023 to be conducted by the Board physically.

Addressing the press at BOSEM Conference Hall, Imphal on Monday, BOSEM chairman Akham Joykumar said that the HSLC exam 2023 will be held from March 16 to April 3. This year, total students enrolled are 38,127, out of it 18,286 are male, 18,628 are female, 596 are male external and 617 are female external and blind and physically disabled candidates are 12.

From government schools, 8,130 students will appear, 1,520 from aided and 28,477 from private schools. Number of students appearing in the exam is decreasing in comparison with 2022, he said.

He said that this year the name of the flying squad has changed to the inspection team. There will be 64 or more inspection teams, he informed and appealed for cooperating with the inspection team in the interest of students to protect them from unwanted incidents.

He also mentioned that students should be very careful they will be provided different sheets with name tags for science and social science subjects which have nomenclature of physics, chemistry, biology and history-geography-civics this time.

“Answer should be in the respective sheet of the respective subject and if any student cross-answers, then it will not be evaluated but cancelled instead”, he said.

He also appealed to students to avoid unfair means and not conduct any means like leaking questions.

The result of the exam could be declared in the second week of May, he added.

The press meet was attended by BOSEM secretary Sapam Mangijao, controller Laishram Manggi Singh.
