Bharatiya Janata Party, Churachandpur district, president Thangngam Haokip on Wednesday issued an order terminating 32 members from the party primary membership with immediate effect.
The terminated 32 members included Khaipau Haokip, former BJP district president and caretaker chairman of ADCC, who contested the last election on NPP ticket.
The order stated that the 32 members were terminated from the organisation for six years for violating Article XXV, breach of discipline clause (b) for opposing the official candidates of the party as violating the party constitution in the 12th Manipur Legislative Assembly elections 2022 with immediate effect.
District party vice president Kritingaba Leishangthem; Akhu Kamei, president, Henglep Mandal; Geinneikhup, former MDC and candidate JDU, Henglep AC 2022 and Paolal Haokip, former BJP candidate from Saikot constituency 2017 were also included among the 32 terminated members.
