The Sana-Khuthek Manipur Cultural Academy observed its 25th foundation day on Monday at Radha Madhop Mandap, Sagolband Meino Leirak Manung, Imphal West.

Folk Singer of AIR, North East Irungbam Padmabati stated that arts, culture and tradition play a leading role in showcasing the rich culture of a society across the globe.

Highlighting the association between human life with culture and tradition, she cited the practices of many arts forms in marriage and other rituals.

As a part of the observance, Khulang Ishei was performed by Manipur folk artists A Yaiphaba, L Binita and Bembem.

The function was attended by corporator Ward no 9, Keishamthong AC Soram Sunil Singh as chief guest; national awardee Loitam Arendra Singh as president.
