11 Myanmar nationals sent to police custody

The Myanmar nationals were were detained at Imphal Airport on Thursday as they were found holding fake Aadhaar cards.

The Chief Judicial Magistrate, Imphal West on Friday remanded 11 Myanmar nationals to eight-day police custody till October 8.

On Thursday, as many as 14 Myanmar nationals with fake Aadhaar cards were detained at Bir Tikendrajit International Airport, Imphal and handed over to police.

The 11 Myanmar nationals are Tungbiakmung, 18, son of Paukhansuum of Suangchoih village, Chin state, A/P Kalay Town, Sagaing state; Ciin Deih Sang, 21, wife of Tual Suan Vum of Sezang village, Chin state; Gin Za Tuang, 21, son of Kim Ngo Lian of Guasing village, Chin state; Tual Suan Vum, 24, son of Sonkhanlangh of Sezang village, Chin state; Zam suan pau Sawmhal, 35, son of Tun kho nang of Cchin Hill, Lawng Tlang, Chin state; Nang Suan Lian ,20, son of Cin Khat Pau of Guasing village, Chin state; Do Mun Zau, 19, son of Kam Do Mung of Guasing village, Chin state; Sing Cin ,22, son of Kam Do Mung of Guasing village, Chin state; Gin Khup Pau ,20, son of Suan Do Mang of Guasing village, Chin state; Pau Za Lian ,20, son of Kam Khen Thang of Guasing village, Chin state; and Vum Tung Nung, 20, son of Kim Ngo Lian of Guasing village, Chin state.

The Myanmar nationals were produced before the court by Singjamei police under section 468/471/34 IPC and 14 Foreigner Act.

They were detained at the departure area of Imphal Airport as they were found holding fake Aadhaar cards for travelling from Imphal to Delhi by Indigo flight No 6E- 2209.
