Manipur Chief Minister N Biren Singh and Governor La Ganesan on Saturday extended their greetings to Prime Minister Narendra Modi on his 72nd birthday.

Taking to Twitter, CM Biren wished the Prime Minister a long life.

"Heartiest greetings to our legendary Prime Minister Shri @narendramodi Ji on his birthday. May lord Shree Shree Govindaji continue to bless you with strength, wisdom and a long life to serve the people of this great Nation," CM Biren tweeted.

"Wishing our Pradhan Sevak, Hon’ble PM Shri @narendramodi Ji a very happy birthday. With the transformation which we’ve seen under your leadership, the Nation has become a force to be reckoned with and make every citizen of this country proud. Praying for your long & healthy life," the Manipur chief minister said in another tweet.

Governor La Ganesan also tweeted, "My Best Wishes and sincere Greetings to Hon'ble Prime Minister of India Shri Narendra Modi Ji on his 71st Happy Birthday Day celebrating his work and wisdom".

Meanwhile, Manipur BJP will celebrate PM Modi's birthday as ‘Sewa Pakhwada’ from September 17 to October 2. On Friday, Manipur BJP general secretary and in-charge of Sewa Pakhwada P Premananda Meitei said the state BJP members will be doing various activities that will benefit the public instead of celebrating with unnecessary expenditures.

Cleanliness drive, voluntary blood donation, health check up camps, Modi 2.0 state level seminar, distribution of artificial limbs and equipments to person with disabilities, cleanliness drive at community ponds with the aim to preserve water, buying of khadi clothes and others will be done during the period, Premananda Meitei added.
