Delhi's air quality remains 'very poor'

Cold wave condition is likely to persist at isolated places in Delhi, which recorded a minimum temperature of 8.7 degrees Celsius on Monday morning, two notches above the season's average.

Delhi continued to report “very poor air” quality as cloudy and foggy weather condition continued in the city. The Air Quality Index (AQI) in Delhi read 313 at 8.05 am. The air quality in neighbouring areas such as Faridabad (317), Ghaziabad (341) and Noida (302) also fell in the “very poor category”.

The AQI of Greater Noida (289) and Gurugram (222) remained in the “poor category”.

Meanwhile, the weather man predicted that the cold wave condition is likely to persist at isolated places in Delhi, which recorded a minimum temperature of 8.7 degrees Celsius on Monday morning, two notches above the season's average.

The city’s maximum temperature is likely to hover around 16 degrees Celsius for the day.

Partly cloudy sky is predicted as foggy weather condition continued in the city, which relative humidity at 8.30 am was at 87 per cent.

On Sunday, the capital city witnessed maximum temperature of 17.2 degrees Celsius while the minimum temperature was at 8.1 degrees Celsius.
