India detects 1300 more COVID-19 positive cases

India’s COVID-19 active caseload stood at 7,605 on Thursday

India continued to detect 1,300 new COVID-19 positive cases and the active caseload of the disease stood at 7,605 on Thursday, according to official sources.

According to the Health Ministry, with the report of the new cases, India’s COVID-19 confirmed caseload rose to 4,46,99,418, while the death toll touched 5,30,816, as three more people died of the disease.

The total number of recoveries reached 4,41,60,997 with 718 more recoveries. The Recovery Rate currently is 98.79 per cent.

While the daily positivity rate stood at 1.46%, the weekly positivity rate was recorded at 1.08 per cent.

And, 220.65 crore total vaccine doses (95.20 crore second dose and 22.86 crore precaution dose) have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive. A total of 7,530 doses more were administered across the country.

Meanwhile, 92.06 crore total tests have been conducted so far with 89,078 more tests conducted, according to the ministry.
