India’s daily COVID-19 caseload surged to 2,68,833 and total Omicron cases reached 6,041 so far, which is an increase of 5.01 per cent since Thursday, the Union Health Ministry said.

The country’s active caseload stood at 14,17,820. The active cases stood at 3.85 per cent.
The Recovery Rate stood at 94.83 per cent. A total of 1,22,684 more recoveries pushed the total recoveries to3,49,47,390.
Consequently the daily positivity rate is 16.66 per cent, while the weekly positivity rate is 12.84 per cent.

So far, 70.07 crore total tests have been conducted across the country, as 16,13,740 more tests were conducted, and 156.02 total crore vaccine doses have been administered so far under the Nationwide Vaccination Drive.
