KHASIL elects new executive members

KHASIL was formed with an objective to preserve the environment, natural resources like hill, rivers, paddy land and promote agricultural activities to make Manipur self-reliant.

Executive members of Khallei Sillup (KHASIL), Manipur were elected to begin the activities of the organisation which was newly formed this March.

In a release issued by KHASIL on Sunday, it stated that KHASIL was formed with an objective to preserve the environment, natural resources like hill, rivers, paddy land and promote agricultural activities to make Manipur self-reliant.

The release further said that to accomplish their objective, the organization has selected 15 executive members wherein Maibam Sunil Kumar was appointed as president of KHASIL; Soraisem Dilip as vice president and Thokchom Lamjingba as secretary.

Some of the areas which KHASIL is going to work are conservation of forest, promotion of work culture, restoration of traditional organic farming, to urge formulation of market policy and farmers policy to state government and so on, the release added.
