Tamenglong College on Saturday successfully organised a fresher’s meet at the Multipurpose Hall of the College under the theme ‘Unleash Your Potential’.
The programme was attended by Tamenglong College Principal Kinthuijinang Maremmei as president and Internal quality assurance cell (IQAC) coordinator Namsurei Thomas Kamei as resource person speaking on the development and progress of the College.
Programme coordinator NG Tuakeulung informed that the main items of the event included the introduction of the freshers, dance items from students, and entertainment from staff. Among the teachers, David J Kamei and Ngamtinlun Touthang presented one song each.
A popular artist from the Zeme community and guest singer of the function, Isuaneing Newme, presented three songs and enchanted the gathering.
Rongmei Naga Students Organisation Manipur president Daichuipou Gangmei along with his team not only witnessed the programme but also delivered a speech encouraging the students to work hard, excel in their career and make the College proud.
In the meantime, Changkhanliu Ngaomei of Mathematics department and Sangdingpou Gangmei of English department were crowned as the Miss and Mr Freshers 2024.
The programme which began with a song by Second Semester students and a welcome address by joint coordinator of the programme N Rose Gonmei ended with a vote of thanks by coordinator NG Tuakeulung.
