Felicitation and career counselling programme for students of Wabagai assembly constituency, who scored more than 60 per cent in the recent BOSEM and COHSEM exam, was held at Merciful English School, Sekmaijin Hangul in Kakching district on Sunday.
The felicitation programme for students who scored more than 60 per cent in the recent class X and class XII examination conducted by BOSEM and COHSEM was organised by Wabagai Youth Committee (WYC) under the sponsorship of social worker of Sekmaijin Sakir Ahmed.
As a part of the event, Lilong Haoreibi College principal Raheijuddin Sheikh along with experts conducted a career counselling programme for the students.
On the occasion, WYC publicity secretary Md Abdul Latif said that the programme was organised with the objective of spreading the message of unity in diversity. He also encouraged the students to strive to be the best in every field they chose and work for the betterment of the society.
Social worker Sakir Ahmed talked about the importance of education for the development of a society. “The world will have no place for the uneducated when digital currency takes over the world”, he said. He also stated that he will provide a cash reward of Rs 50,000 to the student who secures position in both class X class XII exam.
