Pointing out that the fast-growing world with the invention of new gadgets and technology have carried youngsters into a crucial stage, away from reality, SP (Immigration) Priyadarshini Laishram on Thursday stressed the need to emphasise on giving value and moral education to the young students.
She was delivering the chief guest speech during an Annual Day of UNACCO School organised under the theme, "Thanks Giving Day" at its premises at Khongman in Imphal East.
Pointing out that a good education is a triangular process, she stressed the involvement of efforts of teachers, students and parents together to make a child go in the right path.

Stating that teachers of pre-nursery and of lower grades need a lot of passion and skill to engage with the young students who are in their preparatory stage of life, she said, “It is not an easy task. The teachers of the young grades deserve good pay.”
Impressed with the activities and efforts of the UNACCO School adopting all the modern ways of learning in this changing society, she lauded the entire team of the UNACCO School.
Delivering the presidential speech, UNACCO School chairman N Irabanta stated that the school provides not only academic excellence but also co-curricular activities.

The Annual Day is a representation of the abilities of our budding learners, he said while informing that UNACCO will have its college in the coming academic year.
The students of the school from pre-nursery to class II gave their colourful performances during the celebration.
It was also attended by UNACCO School director Arup K Mukhopadhyay and UNACCO School principal P Surachandra, as guests of honour.
