SHADC Kangpokpi conducts 'Triple C' examination

Around 1,000 students from 190 schools under SHADC Kangpokpi took part in the Triple C examination.

The Sadar Hills Autonomous District Council (SHADC) Kangpokpi on Friday scripted history by introducing a "Centralised Combined Competitive" or the "Triple C" Examination to strengthen its educational system.

The examination was conducted on Friday at two major centres viz., Keithelmanbi Junior High School, Champhai, and Kanggui Christian College, Kangpokpi town.

The brainchild of James Doujapao Haokip, chief executive officer of SHADC, Kangpokpi, the "Triple C" Examination was introduced in tune with the state government's 'School Fhagathansi' mission and the examination was conducted under the supervision of Minister, TA & Hills and additional chief secretary, TA & Hills, Government of Manipur.

Around 1,000 students from 190 schools under SHADC Kangpokpi took part in the Triple C examination.

Speaking on the sideline of the examination, the CEO said that the requirement to motivate and strengthen the education system of Sadar Hills was felt strongly after the intense and thorough inspection of schools under the SHADC Kangpokpi and subsequently, with an aim to improve and ensure a proper education system and to motivate students and teachers, and also to increase competition level, the Centralised Combined Competitive Examination of all classes I - VIII has been introduced.

However, due to limitations on transportation and infrastructure, the exam has been only for classes III and V for this year, despite being arranged for all classes, i.e., Class I - VIII, he added.

According to the CEO, the results will be declared very soon and a prize distribution function will be held in the first or second of December.

The first, second, and third position holders in the Triple C examination will be awarded a cash prize of Rs 10,000, Rs 7,000, and Rs 5,000 along with a certificate each while overall three best schools will be awarded Rs 25,000, Rs 20,000, and Rs 15,000 and a certificate each apart from Best Assistant Inspector carrying an award of Rs 7,000 and a certificate.
