North East Hills University (NEHU) vice chancellor Prabha Shankar Shukla on Thursday called on Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan to discuss the development of NEHU.
A release issued by NEHU stated that the VC of NEHU called on the union minister of education to discuss the matters related to the development of NEHU and to bring the university back to its former glory. The VC extended acknowledgement to the union minister about the various developmental works in NEHU in 2022 which include setting up of various centres such as the Design Innovation Centre, International Affairs Office, IPR centre, MOOCs centre and the Research Cell, it continued.
It mentioned that the union minister of Education was also informed about the recruitment process of the teaching posts which will be completed in three to four months followed by the recruitment process of the non-teaching staff. In an effort to expedite the developmental work in NEHU, the VC discussed the budget requirement of the university, at which the minister responded positively, it added.
