In view of the prevailing law-and-order situation in the state, the Manipur University has postponed all scheduled PG and UG examinations under it while colleges and schools will remain closed too.
With regards to MU examinations, T Shantikumar Singh, Controller of Examinations (i/c), Manipur University stated in an order on Tuesday that “in light of the prevailing situation in Manipur State, all scheduled PG and UG examinations under Manipur University have been postponed until further notice”.
Please stay updated through official university channels for further announcements regarding the rescheduled examination dates, the order stated, adding that “this (the order) is issued with the approval of the higher authority.”
In another order, Laishram Dolie Devi, Joint Secretary (Hr. & Tech. Edn.) Government of Manipur, stated that “all the Government Colleges/Aided Colleges/Private Colleges under the Higher & Technical Education Department, Government of Manipur shall continue to remain closed on September 11 and 12.
This is in “continuation of this government Order of even no. dated 8th September, 2024,”, the order stated.
Moreover, all schools of the State Government, Government Aided, Private and Central Schools in the State of Manipur will stay closed on the 11th and 12th of September, 2024.
All Zonal Education Officers under the Department of Education (S), Manipur are hereby directed to inform all concerned under your jurisdiction and take up necessary action accordingly, L. Nandakumar Singh, Director of Education(S), Manipur said in an order on Tuesday.
