The School Management and Development Committee (SMDC) of Moijing High School on Wednesday demanded the authorities concerned to revoke the utilisation order of two graduate teachers of Moijing High School.
In a press meet held at Thoubal Moijing, the convenor of SDMC Moijing High School Ruhina condemned the order of the education department for the utilisation of two graduate teachers, a science teacher and a Hindi teacher, from the Moijing High School to another school.
She said that the school had been facing shortages of teachers for a long time; therefore, the order is like rubbing salt in a wound. “It is not right to transfer teachers when the annual school examination is approaching,” she said.
Education Guide Centre (EGC), Thoubal Moijing president Md Adur Rajaqq said that the EGC was shocked to hear the utilisation order of two graduate teachers from Moijing High School, given the school's long record of shortage of teachers.
He mentioned that EGC had been urging the authorities concerned to fill the vacancy of teachers but in vain. He continued that such an indifferent manner by the authority raises suspicions that the authorities have a malicious agenda of abolishing the Moijing High School. He also drew the attention of the authorities concerned to revoke the utilisation order promptly.
