The Manipur Education (S) department on Tuesday clarified that the state government is yet to start any process for conversion of aided schools into full-fledged government schools.
A release issued by the Education (S) deputy secretary stated that the claims that the government is considering conversion of aided schools to full-fledged government schools are merely rumours. Department of School Education, government of Manipur is yet to start any process for conversion of aided schools to full-fledged government schools, it added.
It appealed to the public, as well as the management, teachers and non teaching staff of aided schools in the state, not to fall prey to such rumours and unverified claims. It cautioned that if anyone is found indulging in the transaction of money in regards to such claims, appropriate actions will be taken against them as per the law.
“The government is fully committed to transparency, and if any aided school is to be converted to government school, it will be done under a transparent policy of the government,” the education department added.
