The department of Tribal Affairs and Hills, Manipur on Tuesday invited online applications for availing Pre-Matric Scholarship (reading Classes-IX and X) and Post-Matric Scholarship from eligible Scheduled Tribe students.
Students belonging to Manipur whose parents/guardian’s annual income does not exceeds Rs 2,50,000, pursuing their studies in the Government/Government recognised Schools/Institutions/ Universities in India for the Academic Session of 2023- 24 are eligible for application, as per a notification issued by TA and Hills Director, Hannah Kamei.
It further notified intending ST students to submit applications for the year 2023-24 on online mode only through National Scholarship Portal (NSP 2.0) in the website ‘www.scholarships.gov.in’. It said that the online application for the academic session of 2023-24 will be activated from October 7, 2023.
The last date for online submission for pre-matric scholarship and post matric scholarship is on November 20, 2023 it stated. It also informed all the student Communities applying for ST Pre-Matric & Post-Matric Scholarship that, the original Hostel form submitted by them for claim of Hostel allowances must be compulsory certified by the Institute head of Department, Warden of Institute.
It added that applications submitted without certification will be rejected. The notification is issued for general information and strict compliance by the respective institute heads as well as institute nodal officers, it mentioned.
