The All Manipur Recognised Private Schools Welfare Association (AMRPSWA) has submitted a memorandum to the education minister, commissioner of education (Schools), and director of education (Schools) regarding the disruptions caused by the ongoing unrest in Manipur, which has led to widespread school closures.

These closures have effectively paralysed schools, preventing them from meeting the required 220 days of instruction. As a result, students have only attended school for approximately 120 days, stated a release.

The association has called on student bodies, COHSEM, and BOSEM to address this issue to ensure that students receive quality and free disturbance education despite the current challenges. The association also urged the public to extend their support so as to resume the school and mitigate the impact on students’ education.
