All must cooperate for effective implementation of NEP-2020: Education Minister Rajen

Manipur Education Minister S Rajen Singh on Friday appealed to all concerned to cooperate regarding the new National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 for its effective implementation.

Rajen was addressing a gathering at his reception programme on Friday at Kakching Khunou College organised by the teachers and students of the college.

Asserting that the government had launched the ‘School Fagathanshi Mission’ with the objective to develop and improve the education system of the state, the minister said in order to achieve its objective, mutual understanding and cooperation between the concerned authority and education staff is necessary.

Enthusiasm and sincere service of the teachers is a must, he said, adding that without the sincere service of the teachers, it is impossible to give better and quality education to the children.

The government will make maximum efforts for improving infrastructures of government schools and colleges as infrastructure is one of the most important components of a school or college, the minister added.

Replying to a memorandum submitted by Kakching Khunou College Students’ Union, Rajen said that construction of boy and girl hostels will be initiated according to the availability of funds.

After the programme, Rajen who is also the Fishery and CADA minister inspected various developmental works at different places of Kakching and Chandel districts. (DIPR)
