Villagers attend community awareness on palliative care, COVID-19 testing camp

Free health checkup and free medicines were provided to many elderly persons as a part of the programme held on Monday. All COVID-19 test results were negative.

With the aim to reach out with health facility and provide awareness to the villagers living in far-flung areas of Tamenglong district in Manipur, the District Health Society Tamenglong conducted Community Level Awareness on Palliative Care under NPPC and Outreach Covid-19 testing camp at Duiluan Part 1.

Free health checkup and free medicines were provided to many elderly persons as a part of the programme held on Monday. At least, 46 samples were collected for COVID-19 test. However, all test results confirmed negative.

Eleven para medical staffs, including three doctors Dr M Louisa Golmei, Dr Titus Gangmei, Dr Z  Sangthonliu, 2 nurses, one lab technician, took part in the community-level awareness programme.  More than 60 people attended the programme where routine immunization was also conducted during the programme.
