A total of 28 people, including three doctors, were tested positive till 6.30 pm on Sunday in Thoubal district, official sources said.
As many as 15 people at Covid 19 Testing center, Thoubal District hospital; four at Waikhom Mani Girls College were tested positive while nine more people, including the three doctors and one grade four staff, were tested positive at RIMS.
As per the medical superintendent of the district hospital, a total of 150 samples were tested of which 15 were confirmed positive.
As per sources, a total of 200 people have tested positive for COVID-19 till date in Thoubal district. It is expected more cases will come.
Out of the three doctors who have been confirmed positive, two hail from Lilong while the third one is a resident of Kiyamgei Imphal East. The grade four staff hail from Thoubal Athokpam area.
Of the 15 people tested positive today at Thoubal district, six are family members of a patient from Thoubal Achouba who runs a hardware store. On Saturday, two more people who work at the hardware store were tested positive.
