Social worker distributes food to 100 households under containment zone in Imphal East

Any individuals of Thongju assembly constituency can contact the Food Bank helpline number if they face shortage of food items, said social worker Seram Neken.

Essential food items were distributed to around 100 families whose houses fall under the containment zones in Uchekon Khunou, Uchekon Laikon and Kongba Uchekon Chongabi areas in Imphal East district by social worker Seram Neken on Thursday.

Speaking to the media, Neken said that he and his team have been supplying lunch and dinner packs at different Covid care centres for Covid patients of Thongju assembly constituency and those undergoing treatment at hospitals.

Any individuals of Thongju assembly constituency can contact to the Food Bank helpline number if they have shortage of food items, added Neken who is also a member of Imphal East Zilla Parishad.
