Seven more COVID-19 positive cases in Manipur

As many as 406 samples were tested for COVID-19 across Manipur on Saturday.

At least seven of the 406 samples tested on Saturday were reported positive for COVID-19, taking the confirmed caseload to 1,39,731 while the death toll remained 2,147 with no reports of COVID-19 deaths, according to the latest updates by the state Health Services.

Only Imphal West and Bishnupur reported new positive cases of four and three respectively and the daily positivity rate stood at 1.7 per cent. All necessary medical precautionary measures like containment and contact tracing are in place, the COVID-19 Common Control Room stated in a release. 

At least 15 persons were discharged after completion of surveillance on Saturday, it stated. The cumulative number of recovered cases is 1,37,528 and recovery rate is 98.42 per cent. And the number of active cases is 56.

The number of COVID-19 vaccine doses administered on September 2 was 3565. The cumulative number of doses administered so far across the state totals 3189705. Of the total, the number of first dose stood at 1633538, and second dose was 1307770, while precautionary dose reached 248397.

Meanwhile, as of September 2, a total of 92 D-type Oxygen cylinders and 15 B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health facilities of Manipur.
