Over 4.12 crore children administered first dose of COVID-19 vaccine in India

India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has reached 2,19,63,57,449 as per the provisional reports till 7 am Sunday.

Over 4.12 crore children in the age group 12-14 years age group have been administered the first dose of COVID-19 vaccine, as per the latest updated data released by the Union Health Ministry on Sunday.

India’s COVID-19 vaccination coverage has reached 2,19,63,57,449, including 22,08,57,402 precaution dose as per the provisional reports till 7 am Sunday.

Meanwhile, as many as 1,604 new COVID-19 positive cases were reported from across the country.

India’s recovery rate stands at 98.77 per cent, with 2,081 more patients having recovered and the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) stood at 4,41,04,933.

Consequently, the country's COVID-19 active caseload now stands at 18,317. Active cases constitutes 0.04 per cent of the country's total positive casesThe weekly positivity rate in the country stands at 1.08 per cent and the daily positivity rate is reported to be 1.02 per cent.

A total of 1,57,218 more COVID-19 tests were conducted on Saturday. India has so far conducted 90,08,82,915 cumulative tests.
