Over 4.11 crore children receive COVID-19 vaccine first dose

India's total COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 219.41 crore, and the active caseload currently stands at 25,968.

Over 4.11 crore first dose of COVID vaccines have been administered to age group 12-14 years in India, and the total COVID-19 vaccination coverage has exceeded 219.41 Cr (2,19,41,43,525) as per provisional reports till 7 am Wednesday.

As per the latest updated official data, India reported 1,946 new COVID-19 positive cases, taking the confirmed caseload to 4,46,34,382, while the death toll rose to 5,28,923, with four more deaths.

The country's recovery rate stands at 98.76 per cent, as 2,417 more patients recovered and the cumulative tally of recovered patients (since the beginning of the pandemic) is now 4,40,79,485.

Consequently, India’s COVID-19 Active Caseload currently stands at 25,968. Active cases now constitute 0.06 per cent of the country's total positive cases.

So far, India has conducted 89,91,87,693 cumulative tests. And, the weekly positivity rate in the country currently stands at 1.01 per cent and the daily positivity rate is reported to be 0.75 per cent.
