No new COVID-19 case in Manipur

It is the third time in April that no new single-day COVID-19 positive case has been detected in the state, while no new COVID-19 death has been reported in the state since March 18.

Yet again, Manipur on Friday recorded zero new COVID-19 positive case, freezing the state's confirmed tally to 1,37,220 and the death toll remained at 2,120 with zero new fatality, according to the latest update by the state health department.

It is the third time in April that no new single-day COVID-19 positive case has been detected in the state, while no new COVID-19 death has been reported in the state since March 18.

According to a release issued by the State COVID-19 Common Control Room, the state also reported zero new recoveries, confining the number of recovered cases at 1,35,083. The recovery rate is 98.44 per cent. Manipur now has 17 COVID-19 active cases, as per the release.

Meanwhile, a total of 112 Oxygen Cylinders and eight B-type Oxygen cylinders have been made available to different health institutions and health facilities of Manipur in the last 24 hours.

As per the latest update, the total number of people who have been administered the vaccine has reached 28,41,156 (first dose: 15,55,927 second dose: 12,03,528 precautionary dose: 81,701).

The cumulative number of people who have been vaccinated in the state with the first dose is 61.67 per cent and for the second dose is 51.30 per cent, it mentioned.
