Nagaland reports lowest COVID-19 active cases in Northeast India

Assam continues to report the highest number of COVID-10 active caseload with 2,722 positive cases, according to the Union Health Ministry.

Nagaland today has the lowest COVID-19 active cases among all states in Northeast India, while Assam continues to report the highest number of COVID-10 active caseload with 2,722 positive cases, according to the Union Health Ministry.

Nagaland on Saturday reported three COVID-19 active cases with the detection of one new positive case, according to the latest updated data. The state's cumulative COVID-19 caseload reached 35,972, while the death toll stood at 781 as on Saturday.

The state's death ratio remained unchanged at 2.17 per cent, while its recovery rate stood at 97.82 per cent with its total recovered cases of 35,188 so far and its active ratio recorded 0.01 per cent.

Meanwhile, Assam's COVID-19 confirmed cases rose to 7,45,995, with 62 new cases. The state's COVID-19 confirmed caseload included 7,35,238 and death toll of 8,035.

After Assam, Tripura today has 80 COVID-19 active cases, followed by Mizoram with 54, Manipur 32, Meghalaya - 30, Sikkim - 23, Arunachal Pradesh - 6.

COVID-19 confirmed caseload reached 2,38,731 in Mizoram, 1,39,865 in Manipur, 1,07,972 in Tripura,  96,749 in Meghalaya, 66,872 in Arunachal Pradesh, and 44,271 in Sikkim.
